Summary:
The Security Manager is responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of all Security Associates, ensuring the protection of life and assets on the property on behalf of the Company.
Responsibilities include:
Maintains a working knowledge of all rules and regulations of the Gaming Commission and ensures strict adherence to the same throughout the property.
Protects company assets and gaming integrity through the consistent, thorough monitoring of all activities on property, particularly on the gaming floor.
Directs the flow of Security Reports to the proper individuals within the company while maintaining the highest level of confidentiality.
Advises Security Associates on assigned shift of duties and responsibilities, and ensures that they are completed in a timely, efficient manner.
Maintains appropriate staffing levels in the Security Department by interviewing, selecting, training, scheduling, evaluating, promoting, disciplining, and terminating Associates, as needed.
Reviews all Daily Activity Reports and prepares Shift Reports for Director of Security.
Coordinates with the Surveillance Department when Security discovers a matter which needs further investigation or attention.
Facilitates the flow of information throughout the department by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.
Observes, documents, videotapes, and reports any unusual or suspicious activities on property.
Regularly inspects the premises, identifying potential safety or security hazards, and reporting same to the appropriate individual or entity, for proper resolution.
Reviews surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies, as needed.
Maintains accountability for the accuracy and thoroughness of departmental records and reports.
Makes suggestions and recommendations, as appropriate, with regard to possible changes in the policies and procedures of other departments, with the protection of company assets in mind.
Ensures safe transportation of company moneys, tokes, and chips.
Activates/Deactivates employee and vendor badges based on communication from the HR Department Maintain key logs and key inventory through Key Watcher.
Performs administrative duties when Regional Director is not available.
SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
Manages the activities of all Security and Shuttle Driver Associates on all shifts.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Qualifications:
Minimum of two years in law enforcement, security, loss prevention, surveillance, or related area required.
Excellent observational and communication skills.
Ability to detect any schemes or cheating activity aimed at the company or guests.
Intermediate to Advanced Computer-Literacy (Word, Excel, Microsoft Outlook and payroll applications).
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice or related area from a four-year college or university preferred.
Two years supervisory experience in security and/or surveillance required.
NYS Security Guard License required.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
