Grounds Maintenance Engineer
GroundsTioga Downs is looking for a Grounds Maintenance Engineer to help maintain our extensive property.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
oOperates company vehicles as required.
oPerform grounds keeping maintenance, mow by hand or riding mower, trim around walkways, flower beds and walls.
oPerform landscape maintenance, plant flowers, grass, shrubs and bushes.
Trim, water and fertilize, rake, mulch and prune.
oKeep sidewalks swept and free of debris and shovel snow and apply ice melt in the winter.
oSetting up and tearing down of special events.
oResponsible for keeping maintenance buildings clean and secure as well as surrounding yard area.
oResponsible for all general maintenance and repair of minor problems throughout the barn area as directed by immediate supervisor.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School diploma or GED required.
Prefer to have one year experience in grounds crew maintenance.
SPECIAL
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license required.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
The associate frequently is required to stand, walk, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
The associate must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT:
While performing the duties of this job, the associate regularly works near moving mechanical parts the associate occasionally works in high, precarious places and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to extreme heat or cold.
There are also strong smells and horse related cleanup.
The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
When around equipment or mechanical rooms, the noise level may increase to loud.
Recommended Skills Maintenance Property Management Mulch Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
