Summary:
Responsible for operation of the golf course and maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Provide excellent guest service to both internal and external guests.
Actively supports the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests Provide professional guidance / advice / opinions to Director.
Oversees the care and maintenance of the turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees and wetlands on the facility grounds.
Participates in the application and recording of chemical applications (fertilizers and pesticides) on the Club's grounds in compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations.
Properly staffs and oversees grounds crew in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment.
Assure overall satisfactory condition of golf course and surrounding area.
Ensure golf course staff is aware of activities and tournaments.
Assist with increasing revenue.
Assist with ensuring all course events are run efficiently and according to event direction.
Ensure prompt and courteous service to all club members and guests by representing TGC in a professional manner.
Ensure all staff Complies with and adheres to all Federal / State and Local Health codes, and the TGC operations manual, TGC By-laws and employee handbook and dress code.
Responsible for all aspects of inventory related to supplies, chemicals, and fertilizers.
Assist with ensuring that all receipts and documents are reviewed for accuracy.
All other duties as assigned.

SUPERVISORY
Responsibilities:
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training associates, planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining associates, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
EDUCATION and/or
Experience:
High School Diploma or GED required.
Two or Four year degree in Turf Management preferred.
Previous experience with golf course landscaping and maintenance or as a Golf Superintendent required.
SPECIAL
Qualifications:
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills required.
Full knowledge of Golf Course operations.
Pesticide Application License required.
Valid Driver's License required.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Must possess strong verbal communication and public relation skills.
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
Ability to write simple correspondence.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to Guests and other Associates of the company.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions.
Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
